Special MAGIC in the Garden

Magic is still in the Morris Garden in Monroe.  A few weeks ago, I was at home minding my own business when the phone rang.  A young lady asked if she could bring a group of students to the garden to work.  Sure, I love having kids in the garden.  Well, these “kids” ended up being college co-eds and there were 16 of them!!  They made MAGIC happen for three hours.

Here are some pictures of these lovely ladies and the MAGIC they created.  THANKS, LADIES!!

They built a wonderful, BIG raised bed out of concrete blocks

that Susan Spaulding found for us for free.

The bed on the left is the one they built.  They moved concrete blocks, rearranged dirt, dug and moved plants.  It is hard work.

We will plant flowers or herbs in the open holes in the top of the blocks.

They took apart pallets that Susan Spaulding found for us for free and removed the nails.  We will be building more raised beds with the wood.

They did LOTS of weeding in several beds!!!

Here is our rubarb bed.

This is part of the Bee, Bird and Butterfly Garden.

LOOK!!  You can now see the row where we had potatoes last year!

They shared their lunch buffet with me,

thanked ME!

and called me hospitable!!

Can't beat that!!
