ARTY CHOKEPATTERNS for APPLIQUÉ QUILTS
All of the following patterns have been written exclusively for use with MAGIC TEMPLATE.
MAGIC TEMPLATE is a reusable iron-on transfer. It is the fastest, easiest way to get all the pieces for your quilt draw perfectly. This method is practically foolproof.
Most quilt patterns would have you make and cut out templates for each quilt piece. Then you have to draw each piece over and over on the fabric. There is no effortless way to do this often frustrating task. Why spend your precious quilting time doing such tedious work?
With MAGIC TEMPLATE, you simply place the transfer face down on the fabric and run a hot iron over it for a few seconds. Presto!! ALL the drawing of ALL the pieces can be done in a matter of minutes, not hours. As an added bonus, every piece is perfect. There is no fluctuation in design due to the fabric moving or stretching. The template can be used over and over again!!
Each pattern INCLUDES the MAGIC TEMPLATE sheets necessary to make the quilt.
KITS include hand dyed fabric for quilt top
MAGIC TEMPLATE patterns are also available as kits. Each kit include all the fabric needed to make the quilt top.
Fabrics are hand dyed by Bettie Blauser and each is original.
ORIGINAL PATTERNS
Each of these patterns can be used to either make the quilt pictured or they can be rearranged to make appliquéd borders for other quilts. The iron-on transfers can be used over and over again. This insures that all pieces are exactly the same.
The designs for these patterns came to Monica after a long dry spell. Then she had the opportunity to walk a Native American Medicine Wheel. It is customary to ask the Great Spirit for an answer to a question or a gift of knowledge before stepping onto the wheel. Design was Monica's intention. Immediately after stepping off the wheel, pictures flooded her mind and she ran to get paper to capture them. For the next 20 minutes or so, she drew spontaneously filling page after page. The following quilts are results of that gift.
ALL original patterns are easy to use and are suitable for ALL LEVELS OF EXPERIENCE.

ARTY CHOKE
Is it a flower or an artichoke? You get to decide. This pattern makes a great small, quick quilt or use it as a border for a pieced quilt. The original now lives with Kathy Hamilton.
Finished size 11½" X 21"
DAISY MAE
This dainty flower has 3 dimensional buds and beads to decorate the flower center. Decorative stitching holds the flower and leaves in place.
Finished size 16" X 19"
INSPIRATION
This whimsical flower is wonderful alone or by rearranging the pieces, it can be used as a border. Decorative stitching holds the pieces to the background.

LOVE & RAINDROPS
There is not much rest for the weary. This design came to Monica in pieces in the middle of the night. With each new piece she had to get out of bed to draw it. The completed design would make a wonderful border for a pieced quilt.

MOON SHINE
Imagine the moon shining across the water on this delightful lake. Metallic thread is used on the water to create the shining effect.

This pattern is available as a kit only.
ROSE IN BLOOM
This piece is made up of a combination of designs. It seemed to take on a life of its own and grow as it was being put together. The original was given to my friend, Barbara Kelly.

SHEER GLEE
Joyful, gleeful! Is it water splashing or a flower? The curved pieces, some softly rounded, some pointy are a marvelous contrast and they keep your eyes moving around. The freehand sewing of the background adds interest.
